Gucci opens second boutique at South Coast Plaza

Gucci has opened a pop-up store that features the luxury brand’s luggage line, Gucci Valigeria, at South Coast Plaza.
The retail center is also home to a traditional Gucci store that carries apparel and accessories. The Valigeria store will be open until the spring, according to the company.
Gucci describes its Valigeria boutique as an homage to founder Guccio Gucci, who created a luggage atelier in Florence in 1921. Gucci once worked as a porter at The Savoy hotel where he saw many a well-heeled traveler.
Luggage includes a range of carry-ons, travel bags (hard and soft), hat boxes, and other accessories from the Gucci Savoy collection.
