MOULIN and South Coast Plaza Team Up to Bring the Parisian Café to Orange County’s Leading Shopping Destination

MOULIN will give guests a taste of Paris beginning November 15

COSTA MESA, CALIF. – September 25, 2021 – MOULIN, the local collection of beloved Parisian cafés by restaurateur Laurent Vrignaud, will open the doors to its new café at South Coast Plaza on November 15, 2021. MOULIN at South Coast Plaza will be located on Garden Terrace next to the Bridge of Gardens.

For MOULIN, joining South Coast Plaza marks the seventh grand opening for the café business in seven years. The first MOULIN café opened in Newport Beach in 2014 and was joined in subsequent years by locations in Laguna Beach, San Clemente, Dana Point, Costa Mesa, and a full service restaurant in Newport Beach opening next month adjacent to the original café.

Adding MOULIN to South Coast Plaza will create the feeling of Place Vendome, the luxury shopping district in Paris, where people take café breaks while shopping at the leading luxury stores. South Coast Plaza already has many of the top French luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermès, and MOULIN completes the Place Vendome experience by adding an authentic Parisian café where guests can take a short break with an espresso and pastry or a crêpe and glass of wine.

Seating for 80 guests will be outdoors under red umbrellas on the 1,000 square-foot terrasse de café, which will be filled with French tables and chairs all collected personally by Laurent during visits to France over the years.

The menu at MOULIN at South Coast Plaza will include tarts and pastries, baguettes and breads, as well as croissants and other viennoiseries all baked fresh every morning by the MOULIN team of artisan chefs. An assortment of salads, sandwiches served on fresh-baked baguette and made-to-order crêpes will also be available. The drink menu will include coffee and espresso drinks, fresh-squeezed orange juice, French soft drinks and juices, as well as Champagne, beer and an assortment of wines.
