JOHN HARDY OPENS FIFTH U.S. RETAIL LOCATION IN SOUTH COAST PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER
Costa Mesa, CA (August 2018) John Hardy continues its targeted brick-and-mortar expansion with the opening of the fifth U.S. retail location in South Coast Plaza Shopping Center (3333 Bristol Street Costa Mesa, CA, 92626). As the largest shopping destination on the West Coast, South Coast Plaza offers 2.8 million square feet of retail and dining space.
“Over the past two years, John Hardy has forged rapid and laser-focused expansion. South Coast Plaza was the natural next step in continuing our targeted retail growth,” said John Hardy CEO, Robert Hanson, “South Coast Plaza provides access to a robust, sophisticated international and local clientele and is one of the premier shopping destinations in the country. It is the perfect fit for our fifth U.S. location.”
The new 960 square foot John Hardy South Coast Plaza location will host a work area dedicated to the brand’s Artisan in Residence Program, rooted in the significance of the brand’s 40-year history of artisanal, hand crafted production in Bali utilizing sustainably sourced materials. Part workshop, part retail space, this innovative format will showcase techniques passed down from generation to generation, with Balinese artisans in-store providing consumers with a first-hand glimpse of the craftsmanship integral to the John Hardy identity.
“Consumers are looking for narrative, meaningful and inspiring physical expressions of a brand more than ever before,” explains Hanson, “With that in mind, we have created a uniquely immersive retail experience that brings the essence of John Hardy to life, creating an atmosphere of creativity and connection for our clients.” The new John Hardy South Coast Plaza location signifies the next step in our U.S. retail expansion, with targeted additional locations to be added for the first half of 2019.
