South Coast Plaza debuts the first annual Pavilion of Holiday Trees, a special exhibit of more than 35 trees decorated by Southern California, national and international arts institutions. The exhibit is open to the public Nov. 14-Dec.4. The decorated trees will be auctioned online, with proceeds benefiting the corresponding arts organizations.
Our 39th Annual Tree Lighting Event is virtual this year, with the health and safety of our community in mind. Hosted by American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland, the new holiday show features moments from “The Nutcracker,” musical performances from the renowned Orange County School of the Arts, a special visit by Santa and the countdown to the illumination of our giant tree at our outdoor Town Center.

We’ve unveiled two new Santa attractions this year with health and safety measures in place.
At Santa’s Winter Wonderland, families will have the opportunity to have keepsake photos taken with Santa, who’s seated behind a clear plexiglass panel in an open-air woodland setting on level 1 outside the Crate and Barrel wing.
At Around the World with Santa in Carousel Court, children can wave to Santa, who’s seated in his sleigh behind a large glass window. Santa is showcased in a whimsical pastel setting featuring figures of children from around the world.
