Our 40th Annual Tree Lighting Event returns in person on Thursday, Nov. 18 at Town Center Park, with musical performances from the renowned Orange County School of the Arts. Hosted by TV and Broadway star and OCSA alumnus Matthew Morrison, the show features a special visit by Santa and the countdown to our giant tree lighting. Pre-show entertainment starts at 6 pm and the main show begins at 7 pm. As required by the State of California, all unvaccinated individuals must wear face coverings at this event.

From November to January, our holiday pop-up boutiques offer visitors with more shopping and gifting options:

HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS AND AMENITIES
VISITS AND PHOTOS WITH SANTA
Beginning Nov. 19, families can visit Santa at Santa’s Village, an Alpine winter wonderland on level 1 in Carousel Court, or see him in his cottage at the North Pole on level 1 in the Crate and Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing. Photo packages are $17-$53. Photo experiences are socially distanced and contactless.
JOYFUL RIDES
Children can enjoy a ride ($2) on our one-of-a-kind Reindeer Carousel and Santa’s Express Train, both available exclusively at South Coast Plaza only during the holiday season. A train ride is complimentary with any Santa photo purchase. Open during center hours. All guests are required to wear a face mask while on the carousel or train for everyone’s health and safety. Children younger than two years old are not required to wear a face mask.
Our Reindeer Carousel welcomes guests at Santa’s Village in Carousel Court Nov. 19-Dec. 31.
Santa’s Express Train goes around our giant Christmas tree in the Crate and Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing Nov. 19, 2021-Jan 2, 2022.
GIANT CHRISTMAS TREES
Visit our three towering Christmas trees, each resplendent with lights, ornaments or storytelling decorations.
Our Jewel Court tree dazzles with elegant, gleaming ornaments and a gilt base.
Our fantastical tree in the Crate & Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing features figures of Santa from around the world and a miniature train.
Our 96-foot fir tree in Town Center Park is illuminated with colorful lights.
